The 23th volume of the Verve , with title ‘’Heart in love’’, contains:
  • Colored reproduction of all the images of King René’s manuscript, guarded in the National Library of Vienna.
  • Text by André Chamson.

Regarded as the most ancient of its kind, this manuscript is dated ca 1457. It was commissioned by the Duke Rene d’Anjou, Count of Provence and King of Naples, as a gift for his nephew the Duke Jean of Bourbon. The originals of these anonymous miniatures are now kept at the National Library, in Paris.
